About

Hello reader!

This blog was never meant to be more than a repository of old high school assignments and a personal diary of things I was too embarrassed to post on social media. However, having rediscovered the merit of an online body of written work as a now unemployed 26-year-old, I find that it doesn’t hurt having a few articles floating around the vast expanse of the internet, just a few clicks away from being discovered by another fanatic media theorist.

Who’s the girl behind the screen?

I’m a Media, Communications and Journalism postgraduate with a penchant for cultural debate and a proclivity for psychoanalysis. My research focus teeters at the intersection of feminist, queer and social theory, occasionally borrowing from philosophical, anthropological and economic perspectives should the need arise. Simply put, I have a lot of thoughts about a great many things and will scour the archives of Cardiff’s public libraries with reckless abandon to prove a point.

Aside from raking niche cultural phenomena with the painfully fine-toothed comb of critical analysis, I enjoy baking, gardening, cooking and the occasional Guinness.

I write only because
There is a voice within me
That will not be still
